The EU could “respond swiftly and decisively” in response to what it calls “unwarranted” visa bans imposed by the US against five European individuals involved in fighting online hate and disinformation, a European Commission spokesperson stated.

EU Officials Condemn US Action as ‘Coercion’

European leaders including the French president charged Washington of “bullying and threats”, after the travel bans were placed on figures who have been central to efforts to enact laws regulating US-based technology firms.
